Terms of Use

Effective 12 June 2026 · Last updated 12 June 2026

In plain words

Oryve is a tool to help you focus — use it kindly and lawfully. It's provided as-is, it can't guarantee results, and it doesn't replace professional advice. Be good to it, and it's yours to use.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Mohammed Rashid ("we," "us," the developer of Oryve) governing your use of the Oryve iOS application and this website (together, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using Oryve, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Oryve.

2. Licence to use Oryve

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use Oryve on Apple devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with these Terms and the Apple App Store Terms of Service.

This is a licence, not a sale. We retain all rights not expressly granted to you.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of Oryve, except where this restriction is prohibited by law;
  • rent, lease, lend, sell, redistribute, or sublicense Oryve;
  • use Oryve for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could harm, disable, or impair the Service;
  • remove or alter any proprietary notices; or
  • attempt to circumvent any security or technical limitations of the Service.

4. Oryve is a tool, not a guarantee

Oryve helps you set intentions, plan your day, and limit distracting apps using Apple's Screen Time features. It is an aid for your own self-discipline — not a guarantee of any particular outcome.

App blocking and scheduling depend on Apple's operating system and can be paused, bypassed, delayed, or interrupted — by you, by the system, or by circumstances outside our control. You remain solely responsible for your own choices, your device, and how you use your time. We do not warrant that Oryve will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any block, reminder, or schedule will always function as intended.

5. Not professional advice

Oryve is a productivity and digital-wellbeing tool. It does not provide medical, psychological, or professional advice, and it is not a treatment for any condition. If you have concerns about your wellbeing or your relationship with technology, please consult a qualified professional.

6. Purchases and pricing

Oryve is currently offered free of charge. We may, in the future, introduce optional paid features or subscriptions. Any such purchases would be processed by Apple through the App Store and governed by Apple's terms, and any additional terms would be presented to you at the time of purchase. We may change our pricing and what is offered for free or paid at any time, but we will not remove access to a feature you have already paid for in a manner inconsistent with the terms under which you purchased it.

7. Intellectual property

Oryve, including its software, design, look and feel, text, graphics, the Oryve name, and logo, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks or branding without our prior written permission.

8. Privacy

Your use of Oryve is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how your information is handled. In short: Oryve keeps your data on your device and does not collect or transmit your personal information.

9. Apple App Store

Oryve is distributed through the Apple App Store, and your use is also subject to Apple's Media Services Terms. You acknowledge that:

  • these Terms are between you and us only, not with Apple, and Apple is not responsible for Oryve or its content;
  • Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for Oryve;
  • in the event Oryve fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to Oryve;
  • Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to Oryve, including product-liability, legal, regulatory, or intellectual-property claims; and
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Oryve is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements or be available, timely, secure, or error-free.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event will we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, time, productivity, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) Oryve, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Oryve in the twelve months before the claim — which, while Oryve is free, is zero.

12. Changes to Oryve and to these Terms

We may update, change, or discontinue Oryve or any of its features at any time. We may also revise these Terms; when we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be made clear, and your continued use of Oryve after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

13. Termination

These Terms apply until terminated. Your licence ends automatically if you fail to comply with them, and you may end it at any time by deleting Oryve from your devices. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will continue to apply.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The courts located there will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.
